The SC&R Foundation is a 501 (C)3 organization and accepts donations to increase its endowment in order to advance its program and continue supporting the industry. The Foundation is restricted to spending 10% of its assets annually, and has invested more than $350,000 in research and education and more than $480,000 in grants and scholarship initiatives since its inception in 1982.

Donations are provided in one of the three categories below:

Memorial Scholarships or Grants

The Foundation accepts memorial donations toward scholarships or grants. Once the funds reach $3,000 for scholarships or $1,500 for grants, a named memorial award is presented. Often times, a family may choose to fund a grant or scholarship for several years.

Corporate Named Scholarships or Grants

Since its launch in 2012, the Corporate named program has recognized 6 companies who have contributed toward the program. Depending on the amount contributed, companies are recognized up to 5 years with a named scholarship or grant at the Annual Conference.

Research Underwriting

Some donors choose to ear mark their donations to be used for industry specific research. Each year the SC&R Foundation seeks worthy projects to fund like the Financial Benchmark Study in 2017.

General Donations

As a 501(C)3 organization, all donations are tax deductible. All general donations go toward the ongoing initiatives of the SC&R Foundation including industry specific research, the HirePatriots partnership, education, scholarships and grants.
